Alright, before we wrap up, let me give you a few quick tips that'll make your life easier as you keep using Gamma.
Keyboard Shortcuts
There are a handful of shortcuts that'll speed up your workflow once you get used to them:
CMD+E (Mac) or CTRL+E (Windows)
Opens Agent from anywhere
'E' during presentations
Quick edit mode
'S' during presentations
Toggle Spotlight mode
Arrow keys
Navigate through cards while presenting
You don't need to memorize these right now, but after a few weeks of using Gamma, they'll become second nature. You can also find them all by clicking the question-mark widget at the bottom right!
Workflow Tips
Here's how I think about starting new projects:
Start with templates
when you need structure. If you're building a pitch deck, one-pager, or project update—there's probably a template that gets you 70% of the way there.
Start from scratch with Generate
when your project is unique or you want full creative control.
Use folders
to stay organized. I've got folders for client work, internal projects, personal stuff—it keeps everything from becoming a mess.
Favorite your most-used gammas
so you can jump back to them without scrolling.
Managing AI Credits
Keep an eye on your credit balance, especially if you're on the Free plan. You can see your credits in the top right.
If you're creating gammas regularly and you keep running out of credits, that's a good sign you should upgrade to Plus or Pro. The credits refresh monthly, and you get way more to work with.
And remember—credits roll over up to double your plan size. So if you're on Plus with 1,000 credits and you only use 500 one month, you'll have 1,500 the next month. They don't just disappear.
Common Fixes
A few quick troubleshooting tips:
1
AI Generation not quite right?
Refine your prompt. Be more specific, add context, or use Advanced mode to guide it.
2
Import not working?
Try exporting your file as a .pptx or .docx first. PDFs can be finicky.
3
Need to split content across multiple cards?
Type /split between sections and Gamma will break it up for you.
4
Something looks off?
Refresh the page. I know it's basic, but sometimes that's all it takes.
